Founded in the year 1976 by a group of rural youth, Bankeswari Jubak Sangha came into existence. Subsequently the organisation got its legal status being registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 at IGR Cuttack bearing Registration No.10818/1143 of 1976-77 dt.13.01.1977. At present the registered Office is located at Village-Dakapada, PO/PS-Delanga, District-Puri of Odisha state. In order to achieve the goal the organization has initiated developmental activities in improving living standard of rural people by means of providing shelter, self employment, women empowerment and taking care of Older persons and poor children. The mission and vision of the organization is to ameliorate poverty stricken condition of the target population through various income generating activities. Bankeswari Jubak sangha has established & running a Home for Aged at village-Dakapada for 25 poor ,needy and helpless rural aged person to provide institutional support such as free lodging, food, clothing, shelter, health check up medicines and recreational facilities to keep the inmates happy with the financial assistance from Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi. To cater to the refreshment nutrition needs of the old and poor aged people who are generally bereft of such scope at home due to socio-economic constraints. Refreshment like cooked meals/ tiffins and snacks are provided to the beneficiaries as desired by them. Besides, other social welfare programmes like Awareness Programmes on SHGs, Family Welfare Programmes, Dowry Prohibition, Environment Protection, Programme on Cultivation, Cultural Programmes and National days Celebrations are made by the Organisation. |
